Changing the World, One Lightbulb at a Time

Partly to show that I'm not a wholly biased blogger and that Wal-Mart can actually undertake positive efforts to affect social change, here's an article from Fast Company about what can happen when a titan like Wal-Mart encourages a change for the better.

How Many Lightbulbs Does it Take to Change the World? One. And You're Looking At It.

The article discusses the effects of each household in America replacing just one incandescent bulb with a "swirly" bulb, the newish compact flourescents. The energy savings are quite dramatic with just a single bulb. Now extend those returns to twenty or thirty bulbs in each house and we're talking about a real revolution.
